So much has changed for our little Milford house since I last blogged in January. We have progressed to the point of "almost completed". A few little details left to do but for the most part we are finished with the major renovation. We still have floors to stain, Marble caps are needed for the window sill and pony walls in the bathroom and back splash in the kitchen. Once all that is done...we will furnish our little home with some of Grandmas and Grandpas antique chairs, some items from Auntie Kathlyn, Cousins Guy and Nancy, John and Margie and a super cute 1950's diner table that belonged to my mom and dad when they were first married. Looking forward to learning how to slip cover, recover and paint to my shabby chic fingers fall off! I will continue to blog as I finish the remaining projects around the house. My mom said to me that Grandma Hilda and Grandpa Fred would be very proud and that they would have loved what we have done to the place!
Some special thank yous...to Corde Quinney and sons (Jordan, Regan and Hunter) for making our little home super CUTE!!! And especially to Corde for going along with all my crazy ideas. To my hubby Dennis for supporting me on this project. To all our family and friends for loving and encouraging us at all times!!
So here they are the latest pictures!!! Click Milford house1 Not sure they are in order, but you will see all the progress we have made!
Enjoy!

Happy New Year!
So much has transpired since my last post. The Milford house is really taking shape!
The new roof and venting have been completed, the new plumbing, electrical, (NO more Live wire going through the house!) framing, sheathing and insulation have all been completed. I especially love the water shut off panel that is no longer under the house, but hidden in a nice panel in the corner of the kitchen. Might I say AWESOME!
Corde Quinney is the best!! Corde had to crawl under the house to redo the plumbing, amongst all of Grandpa Fred's junk (treasures) and ensured that we would never ever have to crawl under the house! Eek, spiders, creep crawlies...just the thought creeps me out! OH and a shout out to Regan who is now off to BYU to start college!! Thanks Regan for all of your help! You did a great job!! And one more shout out to Hunter!! My hero for crawling under the house to insulate the floors so our tootsies will be nice and toasty! If you ever need any construction, remodels...anything really! Quinney Construction is amazing and Corde can do anything! You should call them!! Contact me if you need their number! He built the home we live in now and our little home in Milford is going to be awesome!
The old windows are out (in the garage) and the new windows have arrived but cannot be installed until the house is wrapped in Ty-vek and the window holes are prepared for proper moisture barrier sheathing. In the pictures you will see the home completely sheathed covering the windows for now. The new furnace with all new ducting, venting and canned lighting fixtures are all in place too! See lots and lots of progress!! The new bathroom layout is unique and I think you will like it very much once you see it all finished.
This week I think there is hope for the siding. Rod at Home Depot has been very attentive and is getting the final final quote for siding for me today. In addition the new drywall is going up inside. Next on my list of things to purchase are new doors, new porch materials, tile for the bathroom, kitchen cabinets, sinks and shiny plumbing fixtures. I am matching the door knobs to the ones I have here in the Vegas house. Schlage Chrome with Danbury Egg handles. I like shiny things can you tell! I better get to work!
Please scroll down to see the pictures below. They really don't do the home justice! It is going to be so nice when it is finished and we could not be happier with all the work that has been completed so far!!
